Bill Payne has lived in Mount Pleasant for eight years. Prior to becoming a Loan Officer in 2005, Bill worked for a private equity group in New York as a Controller for one of the venture groups focusing heavily on acquisitions. He accepted this role after serving as a Manager with the Assurance and Advisory Business division for one of the largest professional services firms in the world. There, his duties included providing strategic planning for SEC clients as well as guiding the board of directors on new government legislation. His background as a Certified Public Accountant and experience with private equity suit him very well for working with clients in this industry. He is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. When not busy at the office Bill enjoys spending time with his family in addition to running, golf, and traveling. He, his wife Amy, and son William, live in Rivertowne on the Wando.
